Object description :

"Silver Bronze Trapped Bird "
This small hunting bronze with a silver patina depicts a bird caught in a snare. The bird's puffed plumage, its position and its movement demonstrate the sculptor's good knowledge of this hunting technique. The patina has some wear. Signed on the terrace. The base is wooded. Paul Comolera (1818-1897) is a French sculptor born and died in Paris, he is known for the great anatomical precision of his animal sculptures.
