The handles are made of ebony inlaid with a typical Italian shield of the First Empire, in silver.
The bases and bolsters are also made of silver.
The knife blade is made of steel.
The cutlery is in its original case, the interior is enhanced with a wire braid.
The fork is hallmarked:

Superb cutlery dating from the First Empire. The knife and case are damaged, but it is extremely rare to find such a set in its original case, and the fork is in superb condition. It is very solid, the stem is highly structured with beautiful, long, and strong prongs.
