"Enameled Silver Snuffbox - Display Item"
Snuffbox-Case in 935/000 silver enameled on all sides with a decoration imitating lapis lazuli or Venetian blue aventurine glass. The frame is engraved on its edge with a spindle and dotted pattern. The hinged opening reveals the interior in vermeil. Several hallmarks are present, including two swan control hallmarks, two other illegible ones, one "sterling" and another "935". Foreign work, perhaps Scandinavian, from the Art Deco period. No shock or denting but, as is often the case, scratches from use in the enamel.
