Robert Davies & Son, 30 High Street Blaenau, Ffestiniog Gwynedd Wales born in 1821 from a wealthy landowning family, followed his apprenticeship as a watchmaker under the direction of Arthur Bryers in chester.
In 1841 he opened his business in Blaenau Ffestiniog and in 1871 he was joined by his son Richard Joseph.
High quality movement with full plate lever escapement with fusee, signed "Rob. Devies and Son Blaenau Ffestiniog".
Same case, movement and dial numbering.
Side button to lock/operate the center seconds.
Winding and adjustment with key (included).
Very beautiful white enamel dial signed "Centre seconds chronograph 59575"
Original hands.
Mineral glass.
Solid sterling silver case, very good condition.
Diameter 57 mm.
