Biography:
JonOne,
John Andrew Perello (born in 1963)
Born in the Harlem district of New York in a Dominican family, JonOne began his graffiti activities as a teenager. Self-taught, in search of freedom, he gradually developed a full-fledged artistic practice which led him to become, in the 1980s, a true figure of street art in his hometown alongside artists such as the emblematic Jean Michel Basquiat, Dondi White or Anthony Clark known as Aone.
He then moved from urban media to canvas, the medium on which he was exhibited worldwide. In 2015, the artist decorated the entire exterior hull of an Air France Boeing 777.
He continues to live and work between New York and Paris. Many collectors and museums own his works.
