Extremely rare old work from the 17th century published in 1622, in Basel (Basileae) by Johan. Jacobi Genathii, first edition of this interesting description and chronicles of the Alpine Confederate Rhaetia, the author being particularly renowned for his work on the canton of Grisons (present-day Switzerland).
Copy preserved in its beautiful period binding in full vellum with flaps, a little soiled but overall well preserved and solid (upper edge a little shifted), small marginal loss on the crown and cut, without seriousness.
Some internal foxing, overall good condition and fresh interior.
Note that the final colophon gives the date 1617 although the title page says 1622.
