Simone Cantarini was born in Pesaro, Italy, on April 12, 1612, and died on October 15, 1648, in Verona, Italy. His style belongs to the Bolognese school. He was one of the most appreciated Italian artists. Cantarini was influenced by the works of O. Gentileschi and Giovanni Francesco Fossombrone.
