"Wobbling pagoda" or "Chinese nest" seated in Bavarian porcelain 19th century The character is represented with crossed legs, a thick belly, wearing a dress patterned with large Indian flowers, lined with pink and orange, a purple belt, a collar edged with lace as well as green slippers. The upper body is covered with a golden net. Movable hands and head. Polychrome painting with touches of gold. The wobbly pagodas date back to projects dating from 1762, when Frederick II of Prussia commissioned "10 bayadères with bobbing heads".
