"Louis XV Clockset Attributed To François Linke "
Magnificent and rare clockset comprising a clock forming a carriage and its two candelabras. The set is attributed to the workshop of François Linke.
"François Linke" was without a doubt the most important cabinetmaker and bronze maker of his time.
Initially an apprentice in his native town of Pankraz in Bohemia, Linke arrived in Paris in 1875 and founded his own workshop in 1881 on rue de Faubourg Saint Antoine.
Dimensions:
Clock : height 32 cm, with its base 36 cm, length 35 cm, depth 24 cm
Candelabra: height 28 cm, with its base 32 cm, diameter 24 cm
The clockset is in its original condition ; to be restored
