Super sculpture on black marble. Victor Demanet mainly produced large-scale sculptures showing physical work and powerful movement. From 1926, he began producing medals. More than 100 medals were then produced for public and private patrons, and exhibited internationally. In 1937, Demanet was named Knight, in 1961 Officer of the Order of Leopold and in 1947 Knight of the Legion of Honor. Victor Demanet regularly participated in the Salon des Artistes Français, of which he was a member. Victor Demanet, the sculptor and medalist of the Olympic GamesDemanet participated in three Olympic Games, those of 1924, 1932 and 1936. The Invocation of the Athlete was presented for the first time in 1923 at the Salon des Artistes. Two sculptures were designed just before the 1932 Olympics. A 65 cm high and 80 cm long bronze from 1930 is also called Hercules as an archer. The sculpture with the marble base is 50 cm high.
