"Baccarat Or Le Creusot Cut Crystal Wine Decanter - Circa 1840"
Wine decanter / cognac decanter or whisky decanter in faceted cut crystal. Produced by Le Creusot in the 1830s and 1840s. It may also have been produced by Baccarat when it bought the Le Creusot factory, taking over its molds and catalogs. The Baccarat catalog of 1840 lists this "flat-bottomed shape." A beautiful collector's item, one of the first "production models," our Restoration period decanter is approximately 180 years old and in very good condition. Height: 30,5cm with the stopper, 23,5cm without the stopper.
