Paris, Empire period.
Inkwell forming a cup on a stand,
In gilded bronze simulating an incense burner.
Lid finely chiseled with a rosette of flowers, openwork rim,
Handle formed by a butterfly resting on a rose.
Discovering inside: Two inkwells in white porcelain, with gilded edges and a gilded hourglass.
Body decorated on the rim with a series of openwork leaves, then a series of small flowers and gadroons.
Pedestal and square base decorated with stylized laurel leaves.
Height: 16 cm
Provenance: Former Napoleonic collection of the Prince's Palace of Monaco
