He joined research teams at two engineering schools, Ponts et Chaussées and Arts et Métiers. Very renowned schools in Paris. A fine experimenter, the designer decided to create a vertical aquarium and hi-fi systems. Some time later, Pierre Vandel became known in the furniture sector, notably in 1969 with The Table Company. This side table was then snapped up at 5,000 units. The Marais International company became the designer's distributor. During his career, the designer met the renowned French fashion and furniture designer, Pierre Cardin. This was a golden opportunity for Pierre Vandel, who would benefit from numerous opportunities after this meeting. Indeed, Pierre Cardin put the designer in touch with a wealthy clientele seduced by his beautiful creations. The Roubaix native would attract both French and foreign clients.
