Rare polychrome slip table clock made by the ceramist Édouard Gilles at the end of the 19th century. It is decorated with a particularly refined floral decoration, made in the spirit of impressionist painting. The relief of the flowers, their delicate nuances and the harmonious composition bear witness to the know-how of the ceramist whose work is most likely the fruit of a collaboration with the earthenware factory of Montigny sur Loing.
