Small Italian Curved Chest Of Drawers In Walnut From The Louis XV Period.

Charming little chest of drawers in walnut and walnut veneer from the Louis XV period, from the second half of the 18th century.
A very beautiful Italian work in very pleasant dimensions, a piece of furniture very easy to accommodate.
This small chest of drawers is strongly curved on three sides.
It rests on 4 curved Louis XV legs, it opens on the front with two curved drawers veneered with a walnut marquetry in frieze with light fillets around a reserve of burled walnut.
We find the same marquetry decoration on the curved sides.
The drawers are mounted in the Italian style on a fir and oak structure and they have retained their original locks which work with an old key.

There is no restoration to report apart from small grafts of veneer on the tips of the feet.
It has retained its original old marble, a beautiful red marble of Rance worked on its perimeter with a beak of corbin. Beautiful waxed varnish finish.
