"Fixed Under Glass Saint Gheorghe"
A skillful artistic composition of Romanian origin, inspired by iconographic painting, this glass-mounted work depicts Saint George slaying the dragon. A very difficult technique, enhanced with gold leaf. According to information gleaned from auction rooms, this painting dates from the early 20th century. It is in superb condition and the freshness of the polychromy is remarkable. 31x35 cm in its original frame decorated with vines.
