On the reverse we find a naked Hercules with the lion, standing facing, uniting Liberty standing on the left, holding a pike topped with a Phrygian cap, and Equality on the right, holding the level.
They are surrounded by the motto "Liberty Equality Fraternity". On the obverse is in the center of the coin the face value and the year, in a laurel and oak wreath.
Minerva hallmark and goldsmith's mark: RD and a clover.
