"Reliquary Bust Of Saint Apolline Or Apollonia"
Today we present this reliquary bust of Saint Apollonia or Apollonia, both first names are used. So this bust represents her, this Saint died in Alexandria, Egypt in 249. She is a Christian martyr, a Catholic Saint, she is commemorated on February 9. Below this bust representing her is a reliquary opening from the back and containing relics of this Saint, martyred having thrown herself into the flames so as not to deny her Christ. She is the patron saint of dentists, this does not surprise me because I bought it from the estate of a now deceased lady who was a dentist. Good state of conservation, four marks in four places, sold in its own juice. Weight 1.1 kg Shipping extra (E25)
