"A Pedestal Table Called A "hot Water Bottle Table"."
A pedestal table called a "bouillotte table" opening in a belt with two drawers and two shelves upholstered in black leather, probably original, and resting on a sheathed base finished with sabots and casters. It is topped with its original "grey Flanders" marble surrounded by its openwork gallery and dates from the end of the 18th century or the very beginning of the 19th century, around 1800.
Note the small pieces on the front of the drawers, restorations quite usual for a piece of furniture of this age.
