Oil on canvas "snow effect in Rome" signed lower right ST. SIGNY. French school. 33 X 23.5 cm. Nelly Gallet known as Saint-Signy (1883-1974) was a student at the School of Fine Arts in Rome. She attended the classes of François Maurice Roganeau, former Grand Prix de Rome (1883-1973). She exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français from 1912, as well as in the provinces and in Rome in particular. Saint-Signy painted tapestry cartoons for the Aubusson tapestries.
