"Charcoal Portrait Of An Adolescent Dated 1936"

This young teenager poses, looking a little dreamy, in a pretty double-breasted suit typical of the interwar period, a fountain pen in the breast pocket of his jacket. This portrait is made in charcoal with white gouache highlights, by a sure hand. It bears a signature at the bottom right that is not easy to decipher. It could be the work of a European artist from the east of the Rhine. It is in its original frame, only the glass has been changed.
