"Louis XVI Navette-shaped Potpourri Vase"
Louis XVI period potpourri in white marble and finely chiseled and gilded bronze. The navette-shaped vase is decorated with a rosette of laurel leaves, rows of pearls, chains and two handles with coils representing snakes. The openwork ring with foliage scrolls and flowers is topped with a lid also chiseled with laurel leaves and a flower bud forming a handle. It rests on four bird's feet ending in acanthus leaves. The whole is placed on a circular base mounted on four feet. Parisian work from the 18th century in very good condition.
