A six-panel folding screen painted on paper with gold powder, depicting a hilly landscape crossed by a flowing stream, enriched with naturalistic elements and luminous golden reflections.
Signed “Kano Kyūen ga” in the lower left corner.
Period: Edo–Meiji, 19th century
Dimensions: 82 x 238 cm
Condition: Excellent overall condition. Light paper craquelure consistent with age across the surface. Signs of age and a small restored hole at the bottom right of the 4th panel. Wear to the lacquered wooden frame and two missing metal corner pieces at the bottom.
