"Silver Pyxis, France Around 1800"
Smooth silver pyxis, resting on a circular base with three small cast feet. The cup, spherical in shape and supported by a cylindrical shaft, is removable. It is covered with a domed lid, surmounted by a globe-shaped grip. Two hooks applied to the rim allow the lid to be attached to the receptacle.
