Cameo Glass Vase Signed Muller Frères Lunéville

A superb antique cameo glass vase by Muller Frères Lunéville, with a wonderful color combination. Muller Frères is one of the most famous French glass houses of the Art Nouveau and Art Deco period. The Muller brothers, originally from Lunéville, were active glassmakers in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. They worked in the style of Émile Gallé and the Daum brothers, while developing their own techniques and designs. The vase is signed Muller Frères Lunéville in cameo, with a landscape design. Good overall condition. The black rim near the base has some losses, but this is due to a manufacturing defect. As the upper part is in perfect condition, production probably started from the bottom, where some of the dark layer did not settle properly. This defect is not disturbing and is invisible when the vase is placed on a surface.
