Object description :

"Rare Small Renaissance Bronze Apothecary Mortar Attributed To Toine Cavet, 17th Century."
Rare small Renaissance apothecary mortar in bronze with medal patina. Very beautiful model punctuated by seven crenellated buttresses alternating with a decoration of profiles of heads of helmeted warriors. The upper rim is decorated with a series of profiles of men's heads, a characteristic element of the image repertoire of the Lyon Master Founder Toine Cavet, active between 1610 and 1640, and which allows the attribution to this workshop. Perfect condition and superb medal patina. For collector. Lyon work dating from the first half of the 17th century. NB / Shipping possible to France via tracked colissimo: 20 euros / other destinations on estimate.
