Rare 19th Century Chinese Carved Bone Veneer Furniture Set

Sculpture size : Height : 45cm x Width : 25cm Set comprising a central console and two accompanying saddles, in wood covered with a sumptuous veneer of finely carved bone and a pair of bone sculptures of the Chinese king and queen.

The console table is distinguished by its slender lines and raised side edges, evoking the elegance of imperial furniture. Its central drawer, delicately decorated with engraved traditional scenes, illustrates exceptional decorative refinement. The legs are decorated with stylised rosettes and engraved fillets throughout.

The two accompanying saddles are decorated in the same way, with openwork aprons featuring floral motifs and Chinese-inspired geometric friezes. They feature two carved figures (not included in the description of the furniture), underlining the decorative harmony of the ensemble.
