Beautiful and rare pair of large patinated and gilded bronze ewers with applique decoration of a gallinaceous head and spread eagles, row of feathers in the lower part. They rest on a square base. In very good condition. Height 43.5cm, maximum width 18cm, base 7.7X7.7cm. Empire period work attributable to Claude Galle (1759-1815), Foy's successor in 1788.
