The main subject is a superb black grouse, otherwise known as a capercaillie, in parade.
This subject is as rare in decoration as can be the animal in France whose population is constantly decreasing, "concerning conservation status".
The animal decoration is very rightly completed with a mountainous decoration dotted with conifers, which is its exact habitat.
The vase is not cylindrical but truncated cone-shaped, the base being wider than the neck.
It is made of crystal opaline previously called opal crystal.
It has a very clear and very long sound which attests to the quality of the crystal and its finesse. Without particular exposure to light, the decorations are perfectly visible from the inside.
Despite the absence of pontis, this is clearly a blown piece at the base of which we note concentric circles and which is adorned with small bubbles in the decoration.
The colors are in gradient from black at the base to opalescent blue through gray. This arrangement gives an impression of stability to the object.
Note also the elegance of a gold net around the neck and the skies tinted with gold and pink which brighten the whole.
This beautiful object deserves a well-lit exhibition in your interior to which it will bring a note of originality.
