NEW & EXCLUSIVE UNIQUE & EXCLUSIVE collaboration with Isabelle Fustinon I Creation of contemporary lids for antique porcelain We are pleased to present an exclusive: a unique collaboration with contemporary artist Isabelle Fustinoni, around the custom creation of contemporary lids for antique porcelain. Each piece thus revisited poetically combines the refinement of the 18th or 19th century with contemporary creation, conceived as a sculpture in its own right. Isabelle Fustinoni imagines lids in brass, wood, shellfish, porcelain and other noble materials, always in subtle harmony with the original decor. Take the example of this Orléans porcelain teapot, decorated with goldfinches perched on a tree. The hand-painted naturalistic decor finds an immediate echo in the lid-sculpture, representing a slender branch adorned with small red fruits, like an extension of the decor. We almost believe we see the birds ready to fly from the teapot to come and peck at these berries. This bold association that we have made, between an antique piece and a contemporary element creates a true harmony between past and present. It transforms an object that is sometimes forgotten or without particular appeal into a true work of art, going beyond the simple historical or decorative framework. These hybrid works, combining traditional know-how and artistic freedom, will appeal to both daring collectors and lovers of unique objects or contemporary creations.
