"Muller Frères Lunéville Important Peacock Lamp Wrought Iron Art Deco Period Circa 1930"
Magnificent portico lamp with two globes with the famous decoration of stylized peacocks in pressed molded glass. Art Deco period circa 1930 hammered wrought iron frame with dark "gunmetal" patina. Decorated with two large scrolls which each hold a peacock ball. Their hammering evokes undulating ferns ending at their base in crooks, thus placing our lamp at the turning point of Art Nouveau. In the center, a large square shaft - surrounded by large rings at the ends - which rests on the circular foot richly decorated with alternating gadroons of floral motifs. Signed "Muller Fres Lunéville" near the neck of each glassware. The lamp which has a very long wire - allowing it to be positioned with ease - works perfectly. Diversity, complexity and precision of very high quality hammering work... Look, the photos speak for themselves! Dimensions: Height: 45 cm x 49 cm wide Diameter of the base: 21 cm Diameter of the globes: 15.2 cm Measurements of the square shaft: 4 cm x 4 cm and 5.5 cm rings at each end Weight: 4.5 kg Very good condition.
