"Beautiful Pewter Plaque, Depicting The Adulterous Woman, With Jesus In The Center. 18th/19th Century."
Beautiful pewter plaque, representing a passage from the New Testament, Jesus in the middle of the crowd, having raised the adulterous woman. Many details of the crowd (men, women, children), of the place, half in a building, half outside: colonnades, statues, paved floor, with the name of the artist and the date of creation: 1821 (?), grassy ground, trees, village in the distance, etc. Very beautiful work in the antique taste, great finesse of details, very well balanced composition. Hanging hole. Pewter in perfect condition.
