Leonardo Benatov (1899-1972). School of Paris. Man with a Mandolin, large oil on canvas, 90 cm x 64 cm without frame. Beautiful frame. Signed upper right. Leonardo Benatov, Moscow School of Fine Arts. In 1921, he received the commission for a portrait of Lenin. He left Russia in 1922 to settle in Paris, where he exhibited regularly at the Salon d'Automne and the Salon des Indépendants and Salon des Tuileries. He also exhibited in the USA and London. Museums: Grenoble, Saint Petersburg, Moscow. Dimensions with frame: 110 x 83 cm.
