Oil on canvas depicting a landscape animated by figures on a walking path, at the foot of a castle overlooking the valley.
This is a beautiful composition from the Northern School, signed Noack, dated 1848.
Auguste Noack, born in 1822 in Bessungen and died in 1905 in Darmstadt, was a Hessian painter.
He trained at the Düsseldorf Academy of Fine Arts.
Condition: Good condition, note a vertical restoration on the left side of the painting.
