"Antique Wooden Architectural Miniature Masterpiece – Peristyle / Vestibule"
Rare 19th century wooden miniature masterpiece of a peristyle/vestibule, of French origin. This type of construction was found at the entrance of large buildings, such as the White House. This wooden piece is beautifully crafted. Three steps lead to a raised platform. The floor is made of different types of wood arranged to converge towards the center, reminiscent of the rays of the sun. Four superb carved wooden columns support the roof of the peristyle/vestibule. These high-quality miniatures were produced in the 19th century by cabinetmakers for architects, or by apprentice cabinetmakers as graduation items. The item can also be used as a display for dolls or other decorative objects. Condition: Very good, some small defects to note: slight wood chip on the third step on the left, the roof is slightly curved, which creates a small gap between the left column and the roof. Small restoration on the front right of the roof. At the back, a tiny wood chip is missing. Please note that we have taken pictures of these details.
