- Oil on canvas.- Born in Buffalo, New York, on October 22, 1870, Isabel studied at the ASL in Buffalo with Mary B. Cox and Lucius Hitchcock. At this school, she met the artist Otto Schneider, whom she married. She accompanied her husband to Paris, where she participated in the Salon des Indépendants in 1919, and continued her studies with Zelda Shanfield. After two years in Paris, the Schneiders traveled throughout Europe, the West Indies, Canada, and the United States.
