"Small Portrait Of A Man Circa 1830"
Good little portrait of a young man, in the style of Boilly, made in the 1830s. Note the painter's care in rendering the elegant contrast of the knotted tie, set without the dark frock coat. It has been freshly cleaned and is therefore in perfect condition. A pretty restoration frame with palmettes in excellent condition accompanies it. It can be paired with the portrait of a young girl (in the last photo), the latter being of a very similar size (just a few centimeters taller) and wearing a similar frame.
