"Louis XVI Daybed, Alcove Bed, Late 19th Century. (200cm X 83cm)"
Lovely Louis XVI style alcove bed dating from the end of the 19th century (circa 1890-1900). This alcove bed, which serves as a sofa, rests on eight legs. Its legs are round, sheathed, and fluted. The woodwork is lacquered in cream and old orange. There are ten cushions in total: three for the seat, three for the backrest, two bolsters, and two small square cushions. Each cushion has a removable cover thanks to a zipper, making cleaning easier. This daybed is upholstered in silk, in shades of sky blue and slightly pink. The backrest is removable, very easy to remove or replace. The back is also upholstered and lacquered, allowing this piece of furniture to be placed in the middle of the room. This daybed is in good condition, note a slight fraying on two seat cushions (almost invisible). Dimensions: 200cm wide, 83cm deep and 80cm high.
