"Three Paintings By Louise Descamps Sabouret, 19th Century "
Three lovely oil paintings on wood panel depicting still lifes by the well-referenced 19th century artist Louise Descamps Sabouret (1855/1929). She exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français and the Union des Femmes Peintres and was the favorite illustrator of the magazine "le journal des roses" as well as the "Revue horticole". The three paintings on offer are done in an admirably treated impressionist style. Flowers, fruit, violin, books, brushes, silverware and earthenware are painted with virtuosity and sensitivity. I present them in their discovered state. A simple dusting will be beneficial, I am sure. I can sell them individually for 300 euros, but this set of three has an obvious decorative interest. Dimensions with frame: 29.5cm by 23cm for two of them and 29.5cm by 21.5cm for the third. The framing strip is approximately 4cm wide. All three are signed top left.
