These three main instruments, as well as the half-foot of France, are in good condition, although the screw on the proportion compass is hard to tighten. The other instruments are compasses, an ink pen, a pencil end, an extension, and a tool for loosening the large compass.
In addition, there is a rule and a set square made of a dark, dense exotic wood. The set square was broken and then glued back together. The ink pen with its small wooden handle is missing its screw. The set is in its original wooden case, covered in shagreen on the outside and green velvet on the inside. The case requires restoration, as can be seen in the photo. To the right of the space where the king's foot rests, an empty square volume may have contained an eraser.
Interesting, almost complete set in used condition.
According to a reliable source, this set of drawing instruments belonged to the sculptor Jean François Lorta (1752-1837).
