"Pair Of Mexican Pre-columbian Style Bronze Candlesticks, 20th Century"
Pair of polychrome bronze candlesticks, made in Mexico in the second half of the 20th century. Each piece depicts a seated public writer holding a tablet on his knees, wearing a stylized floral motif serving as a bobeche. The deliberately archaic style is inspired by pre-Columbian iconography. The ensemble features a golden brown patina enhanced with touches of red, particularly visible on the belts.
