Quiver-shaped torch or candlestick, palmette base, the socket in an antique vase. Very finely chiseled bronze, mercury gilded in matte and shiny, Directoire - Consulate period, late 18th century around 1795-1800. This very high quality model is the work of a great Parisian bronzier, Thomire, Galle, Ravrio or equivalent. Beautiful collector's item, quite "pointed" model. It can be used as is or mounted as a lamp as in the photos. It is in very good condition, no missing parts, no deformation, superb gilding with minimal wear. Height: 24cm
