"Rare Royalist Armchair, Circa 1792/1795"
Lovely and rare cabriolet armchair, in cream relacquered beech, molded and carved, with a trapezoidal backrest, the baluster armrest consoles fluted and highlighted with lotus leaves, the belt decorated with channels, the connecting stops carved with fleurs-de-lis, standing on four turned spindle legs, fluted and ringed.
End of the Louis XVI period or beginning of the Directoire, most likely around 1792/1795.
Good condition.
Upholstery in petit point tapestry decorated with polichrome bouquets and garlands of flower and foliage, most likely original.
