Octagonal barrels, smooth-bored, case-hardened and varnished. They end in a thread designed to receive the end rings or barrels of long barrels. The rings are adorned with various registers of beading.
Chests finely chased with scrolling leaves and foliage. The finish is jaspered and varnished; they are signed on the top JALABERT LAMOTTE in gold and engraved in St Etienne.
Jaspered and engraved crested dogs; guilloche screws.
Jaspered oval bridges decorated en suite.
The stock frames feature a threaded through opening. These openings are designed to receive additional stocks.
The walnut mounts are finely squared and engraved with foliage. The pommels are adorned with a leafy piece of nickel silver.
The pair of pistols comes with two rods. The tubes are steel, painted with an imitation wood pattern. The tips are steel. The barrels are designed to extend the pistol barrels through the threads to form rifles.
The wooden pommels are carved with dog heads, brass rings and threads. They are extended by a steel rod, allowing them to be attached to the pistol grips and receive the cheek rests; the latter are made of green velvet with bone tips.
The pommels can be replaced by the wooden ball pommels supplied.
The set is in very good condition. It is presented in a wooden case (later).
