"Dresden Porcelain Covered Bouillon - Richard Klemm Workshop, Circa 1880"
A delightful covered bouillon tureen in fine porcelain, resting on its matching saucer, decorated in the Rococo style very fashionable in Dresden at the end of the 19th century. The body and saucer are richly decorated with finely hand-painted polychrome floral bouquets, punctuated with gold highlights decorated with threads and scrolls. The lid, topped with a green clasp-shaped handle, is decorated with matching floral motifs, as is the interior of the bowl delicately sprinkled with scattered flowers, and even the interior of the lid, which testifies to the attention paid to every detail. Blue covered sou mark: Closed crown above a "D", mark attributed to the Richard Klemm workshop, active in Dresden from 1869, known for its luxurious decorations applied to high-quality porcelain.
