"Antique Box From The Early 19th Century Made Of Wood And Painted Paper"
Ancient box, probably intended to contain alms for the poor, made with 6 thin wooden boards covered both internally and externally with painted paper featuring geometric patterns. It is adorned with an elaborate collage of white and red paper cutouts, as well as monochromatic prints depicting Saint Thomas of Villanova and two symbolic landmarks of Catholic Christianity: St. Peter's Basilica and Castel Sant'Angelo.
Clear signs of use visible in the photos and inactive woodworm holes.
