"Large Vietnamese Standing Mirror In Carved Wood And Mother-of-pearl – Early 20th Century"
Exceptional standing mirror of Vietnamese origin, made of solid wood, probably rosewood. The frame is richly decorated with mother-of-pearl inlays representing floral motifs, foliage, longevity symbols and auspicious ideograms, typical of the craftsmanship of Hue or Hanoi at the beginning of the 20th century. The lower part features a delicate relief carving of flower vases and incense burners, framed by elegantly carved side posts. The structure rests on a solid base, decorated with fine engravings and traditional motifs.
