"18th Century Dijon Hallmark Silver Wedding Cup"
Charming solid silver wedding cup, made in Dijon at the end of the 18th century. Resting on a molded foot decorated with gadroons, it has an elegant shape, emphasized by two side handles with scrolls. The cup is engraved with the names Gadan and G. Dodey, testifying to its use as a wedding or bridal gift. It bears the old hallmarks of Dijon, recognizable by the crenellated tower, typical of the city under the Ancien Régime. Refined work of regional goldsmithing, representative of the Burgundian tradition.
