Édouard Vaumort (1823 - 1886) was a 19th-century French artist, renowned for his talents as a painter and illustrator. Vaumort was an earthenware painter for his brother Jean, an earthenware maker in Rennes. From 1877 onwards, he regularly sent works painted on earthenware depicting Brittany and Charente to the Parisian Salons. He also collaborated on the illustration of Henri Martin's 1886 work "Histoire de France", contributing historical scenes such as The Death of Roland and The Jacquerie. Although information about his life is limited, Édouard Vaumort's artistic contributions, particularly in historical illustration and the painting of cultural scenes, demonstrate his talent and his commitment to the 19th-century artistic landscape.
