Large Horizontal Gilt Bronze Photo Frame

The dimensions are rather beautiful for this frame offered in a rare horizontal format that is also called Italian. It is made of a molded and profiled gilt bronze rod with an ornamentation of acanthus leaves in a row and another pearl, between the two a smooth part. At the cardinal locations are affixed roses accompanied by branches of leaves and flowers. To put down or to hang, it has its protective glass. This model from the beginning of the 20th century is called "Le Parfait" and had a special arrangement allowing it to be put in both directions but a tab to block the foot for the vertical position is missing and it is so much the better since it is the horizontal version which is interesting.
